I have fond memories of the coffee percolating on my grandparents' stove. The smell of fresh coffee permeating a home brings me warm feelings of childhood happiness. How my grandparents could leave the coffee pot on the edge of the stove without burning is beyond me. Since those formative years, coffee has been a central part of my life.  It’s fitting that I joined the Navy and became a Chief Petty Officer -- the essential "Chief's Coffee Cup" perpetually in my hand to this day.
Matt and I have been roasting coffee for many years, initially for ourselves and just for fun;  When we decided to share our craft with others, Anchor Coffee Roasters was born. We say we built our company "from the grounds up." From our humble beginnings, through our time in the military, to today, we’ve learned the value of hard work and grit. We believe our customers share our values, and we intend to deliver you the best quality product to help you tackle your day.
We recognize that some veterans like us have a desire to start their own business. A future goal of Anchor Coffee Roasters is to provide opportunities, guidance and mentorship for other veterans looking to be entrepreneurs. We want to share the lessons we’ve learned and possibly help them establish their own local Anchor Coffee Roasters.
We donate a dollar of every bag of coffee sold to veterans and community organizations. While we are proud of our Naval Heritage, we are even more proud that we are Americans. We want Anchor Coffee Roasters to reflect our pride and our values and roast coffee that everyone enjoys, today and for years to come.
